Abstract: Teaching through le(le means music and happiness in Chinese),in which le is the carrier as well as the purpose,revealsthe value pursuit of music education intrinsically.On one hand music education serves social stability and harmony,on the other hand,it delights people’s mind and body,nourishes people’s life.The phenomenon of looking up to teaching and down on music,looking upto skills and down on practice in music education,results from ambiguous understanding of the value of music education.The solution ofcurrent problem requires clear understanding of essential attributes of music.
