Abstract: In the short story the Yellow Wall Paper,American woman writer Gilman reveals the women writers’ dilemma in the current society and criticizes the Western Patriarchy Society on the spiritual oppression,distortion and destruction on women by a series of obscure images,anti-traditional narration and pattern of the "mad woman" of the ending.
