Abstract: In the process of probing how the English adjectival syntactic construction is semantically constructed,we find that the different semantics of the adjectival syntactic construction is closely related to the different ways language users conceptualize the entities or the events.Due to the different alignment between the autonomous components and the dependent components in this construction,the same syntactic construction expresses different semantics.
