Abstract: The relationship between Foucault and Marx is that of subversion and inheritance.Foucault subverted Marx s historical materialism through the denial of historical law.He also had a critical inheritance of Marxism especially in the field of critical philosophy.The knowledge-right pattern expanded the scope of epistemological criticism while pedigree analysis in the replacement of class struggle in some degree led to an extensive and detailed struggle
