Abstract: As a universal cognitive method metaphor is widely used in the grammatical and lexical formation.It's wide use in word formation helps forming many fresh scientific and technical terms,thus enriches EST vocabulary.The nominalization in grammatical metaphor focuses more information in a sentence or a text.The nominalization of verbs,adjectives and clauses enhances the process of narration and highlights the grammatical features of EST text such as objectiveness,formal style and conciseness.
