Abstract: In the modern history of China,LIUXian-xin was a famous scholar of Sichuan Province.His life was very short but rich in knowledge.He inherited family education,then he study and connected the Confucian classical,history,philosophy with belles-letters and wrote many books.In addition to the historiography,he also made great achievements in philology.His book"Bibliography"about the theory of documentation is one of the first bibliography textbooks in China,rich in content and unique in the compilation.He was also one of the first scholars who made deep research of gathering of Scattered Writings in the Republic of China,and wrote the article "Rectification of Collecting Lost Books absurd".In distinguishing pseudo-science,he refuted the traditional methods of identification and presented his own unique concept of authenticity.
