Abstract: Liu zongyuan,a thinker of the middle Tang Dynasty,pursued the concept of statecraft.When he faced the social and political reality of the middle Tang Dynasty,in order to maintain and consolidate the feudal rule,he put forward a serious of the official proposition about the relationship between officials and the nations fate,the standards and methods of electing officials,the qualities of official and the philosophy of being official,the skills of being official and so on.His propositions not only showed strong aiming about the reality,but also shone strong light of the modern sense of leadership.Therefore,those propositions could give much positive inspiration and significant reference to the leaders in the modern society.
