Abstract: Aiming to engage college students in writing and to improve their writing ability,this article chose two parallel classes as comparison by using different teaching methods,and after the 11-week period of test,it collected the pre-test and post-test data to test whether storytelling can improve students' writing ability.And by analyzing the data results by SPSS(12.0),this paper found that storytelling has some positive effects on students' writing ability.
