Abstract:
At present, many scenic spots in China ignore the appropriateness of the translation of signs. As a result, it can not meet the need of English expressions and affects cross-cultural communication. The inappropriate text falls into two types by sampling survey: inappropriate directing text and inappropriate narrating text. The major causes of appropriateness of translation lie in the differences of culture of different country. Therefore, the problem of Chinese-English translation of tourist attraction can be solved from a perspective of cultural differences.
