Abstract: JI Ceng-jun was a famous official of river conservancy during the reign of emperor Yongzheng.During the seven years' time of in charging of river conservancy in Henan,he overhauled and consolidated the banks of the Yellow River,and also established a relatively complete system of repair and precaution.There had been no big burst for more than two decades after his work.From the experience of JI Ceng-jun,we can see that it is a complicated work of river conservancy.It needed the emperor's support,the colleagues,cooperation,and the financial support.
