摘要: 处于中国中世纪的北朝隋唐时期,是我国古代史上由门阀政治向官僚政治的转变阶段,而这一转变过程的显著特点,即皇权与士族特权之间的此长彼消。而从北魏孝文帝到唐太宗、唐高宗、唐中宗及唐玄宗,四次官定姓族的举措,正是这一转变过程在政治方面的体现。皇权对士族特权的干预,不但是它们之间一贯的共性,且呈现日益扩张的趋势。
