Abstract: As the suffix of adjectives and adverbs,the Chinese character "ran" originates in ancient Chinese.The words ending in "ran" in Jinpingmei reflects all the uses of this kind of words in the middle of Ming Dynasty,including adjectives,adverbs,links,nouns,pronouns and verbs.This kind of words have distinct role in inheriting the past and ushering in the future of Chinese grammar history.
