Abstract: By comparing the citations of Yuan Ben Yu Pian from Confucius Analects and today s version of Confucius Analects,this paper makes a breif study of the discrepancies between these two versions.It also indicates the reasons which have caused the discrepancies.Several citations of Yuan Ben Yu Pian from Confucius Analects are in agreement with both the citations of Shuo Wen and the the imperial edition,the references of which can be seen as valuable.
