Abstract: Generally speaking,in william Yip s poetry,tradition and modernity are melted in one furnace and magnificence and gracefulness are shining on each other.He lives in US for many years,yet always holds his ground on the tradition of Chinese poetry.However,he does not confine himselfinside the tradition but borrow western modern poetry to innovate his creation.
