Abstract: Mother Tongue s transfer on second language learning is always a major issue discussed by the linguists.By using the comparative devices,this thesis analyzes the mistakes caused by negative transfer in three different levels,e.g.vocabulary,syntax,and discourse.It is hoped that the contrastive analysis of the differences between the two languages will model students English way of thinking in their writing and therefore to eliminate the influence the negative transfer to the least level.
