篇章学研究与文学批评理论关系初探
A Tentative Exploration into the Relation Between Textlinguisticsand Literary Theories

摘要: 现代语言学的产生和发展总是伴随着新的文学批评理论和方法的产生和发展。语言学的理论成果和文学批评理论的产生和发展有着千丝万缕的联系,两者的关系至关紧密,相伴相生。篇章语言学既然是语言学研究的一个分支学科,它的研究对象和文学理论一样都是篇章(文本),那么它与文学理论应该有着天然的联系。然而比起半个世纪前语言学和文学理论的密切关系来,篇章学和文学理论研究的联系不像人们期望的那样应该互相渗透,反倒越来越少,大有分道扬镳的趋势。主要原因有二:一是在发展过程中两个领域的研究者们主观上不愿意也不屑了解对方领域的研究成果并从对方汲取研究营养;二是客观上现代早期的文学批评认为文学性在于语言的特定用法,因此可以用结构主义或形式主义语言学的方法去研究,所以早期的"篇章语法"研究可以直接为文学批评家所用。而现在意义上的篇章语言学特别强调篇章承载的社会交际功能,篇章总是和语境密不可分,而文学批评理论中常常涉及社会大背景。但是,文学批评的理论和方法是多样的,在涉及具体文本的风格时,作者、读者或作品中的人物所可能参与的场景常常涉及微观的交际语境,因此篇章语言学的研究成果完全可以渗透到文学理论和批评方法中来。Abstract: The appearance and development of modern linguistics have always been bringing about new literary theories.Linguistics and literary theory have been closely related in history and this make it seem natural for textlinguistics and literary theory to interrelate with each other in expectedly many various ways.
