Abstract: Fajin was one of the disciples of Jianzhen,a senior monk in Tang Dynasty who traveled to Japan,and he was famous as the second monk traveling to Japan to publicize Buddhism regulations and commandments.Before his travel to Japan,he was a monk of White Tower Temple in Yangzhou.His family name was Wang.He was born in Yiyang,Shenzhou(today's Luoshan county in Xinyang),and he was the posterity of Wangdao.
