Abstract: Zao Opera is a kind of rare opera in Gushi county of Xinyang.The representative program is GUO Ding-xiang,which is very valuable original oral folklore containing more than 10,000 sentences and is regarded as magnificent as the Tibetan epic King Gesaer.Zao Opera is not only a rare narrative poem of Han nationality,but also a treasure for the study of Chinese narrative pomes.The cultural pattern of Zao Opera reflects the folk customs,the emotion and the relative religion.
