Abstract: Based on analyzing the beginning grapheme foundation about the "Jing" and the "Chu",the author argues that "Jing" and "Chu" have each original meaning.Although finally,they were both used as the name of Chu nation.The development of their meanings has their own track.Besides,"Jing" was firstly used as the name of Chu nation,the feeling of that was derogatory sense.Wherever when the Chu nation became stronger and prosperous,the derogatory sense of "Jing" vanished.Thus the difference between "Jing" and "Chu" ...
