Abstract: The great English novelist Virginia Woolf pursues the ideal of shaping her novels into great artistic form. In her Jacob's Room, Mrs. Dalloway, To the Lighthouse and The Waves, a development of complication, perfectness and artistry in wholeness construction can be traced. What is more, the wholeness construction not only helps develop thematic ideas, but also conveys with itself implications of these ideas.
