Abstract: LU Xun and GU Moruo provided us a rather profound analysis and criticism to the society at their time by describing the image of insane person and phoenix, and demonstrated the personality and function of the early enlightened intellectuals. At the same time, they put forward the ways to save the society from corruption and miseries. LU Xun insisted on using mild persuasion to change the beast-like world into a human society.
