Abstract: Ma's Grammar is the first grammar book of China. It gave birth to thinking that sentence is very important, founded the grammar system that morphology and syntax are equal, and summarized the rules of grammar of ancient Chinese. All these have established its important status in the language history. The main shortcomings of this book are that the component of sentence is not full and the concepts of grammar are self-contradictory.
