Abstract: By sorting out the academic foundation, the formation background and the contents of reality-based educational ideology, this article discusses briefly the role of this educational mentality in enhancing the modern education of foreign languages in China, which manifests in two aspects: spiritual preparation and the establishment of modern government schools.
