Abstract: There has been a striking problem in commenting on Chinese mass culture: explaining the mass culture in a master way. This shows in three respects: first, there has been human intellectuals' hereditary prejudices in evaluating the mass culture. second, all the documents on the mass culture shows unwipable vestiges of Western culture theories. third, the excessive aesthetic tendency.
