Abstract: The motivating force is the motivation of the subject to accept the political view points, thought system and moral regulations imparted in ideological and political education. It is a unity of material benefit, knowledqe acquiring, truth seeking and the participation in political affairs. The study of motivating force will meet the demands of both the course construction and the purposeful and effective education of ideology and politics, so it is of theoretical and realistical significance.
