Abstract: Reductive inference is a kind of inference independent of deductive inference and inductive inference. But some scholars don't approve of this. to prove the rationality of its independence, this paper makes a thorough analysis of a few typical inference schemata, and at last the inference is located as a specific model. On that basis, To prove the rationality,the paper provides theoretical supports from philosophical, psychological and logical studies.
