Abstract: Nouns and verbs have alternative conversion and preferable conversion of category in grammar. The alternative conversion of nouns and verbs characterize unsymmetrical, and the preferable conversion is also characterized unsymmetrical in view of the history of Chinese language. This is related to the general law of human cognization and the cognization characteristics in different periods.
