Abstract: New College English, compiled by Zhejiang University, published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press and based on studentcentered and themeteaching model, is gradually perceived as an authorized coursebook for nonEnglish majors. Its emergence is believed a success of college English coursebook reform.
