Abstract: With the constant development of practical movement,liberalism must search and consolidate its theory foundation.this essay tries to analyze the basic philosophical foundation of liberalismindividualism,agnosticism and historical view and through comparing with the foundation of Marxism to deepen the comprehension of liberalism.
