Abstract: QIAO Ji was a famous writer of Zaju and Sanqu in the late Yuan Dynasty.Though he called him self"the first vagabound of the country,the life he lived was not at all unsocial.Both his Sanqu about society and his Zaju about love affairs displayed signs of the time.At the back of his unrestrainedment and indulgence of remance concealed sentimental feelings for official career,which showed a personal spirit of arrogance and cynicism and disclosed the psychological adjusting system of the literati out of power.
