Abstract: It is necessary and workable to cultivate translation skills for non-English majors. This task can only be carried out through intensive reading without the rearrangements of present curriculum. Students' translation skills can be improved if the teacher of Intensive Reading adopts proper methods to impart translation skills, given students' situation and available teaching materials.
