Abstract: YANG Jiang's proses appeal to the readers mainly for the force in the characters,especially characters' quality of honesty,which enable the readers to identify,appreciate and accept.Furthermore,the characters in her proses possess a tough will as well as the morals of benevolence,broad mindedness,modesty,righteousness and consideration.The value of writing lies in writer's nature,as the saying goes.And this also helps explain the reason of YANG Jiang's success in her prose writing.
