Abstract: Pragmatic competence, a key factor of communicative competence, refers to the ability of language using during communications. It consists of the pragmatic competence of language itself and the social pragmatic competence. In foreign language teaching, basic language skill training is far more enough, more flexible techniques are necessary to improve the learners pragmatic competence.
