Abstract: The severe criticism to the act against rash advance,given by MAO Ze dong between the end of 1957 and the first half of 1958, exerted a profound negative influence on the economy and politics construction. It altered the guiding principles for enonomy construction determined at the Eighth Congress of the Communist Party of China;started the prelude to the so called“great leap forward”; encouraged the “Left leaning” thought to grow; and marked the destruction of the democratic centralism of our Party.
