Abstract: Zizhi Tongjian ,the first analistic style in historiography,was compiled in the charge of the chief editor with combined efforts. It left us a precious legacy of history in the aspects of type selection,catalogue arrangement and compiling and material drawing methods. It has contributed greatly to the history compilation science.
