Abstract: Synonymy is very common in human languages.The aim of this article is to expound Synonymy in English.As a means of how to enhance students' ability to understand precisely and grasp firmly word meaning in teaching grammar and vocabulary,the exposition of the set of synonyms of entire,whole and intact etc.is given in this article.
