Abstract: This article introduces the necessity of establishing theoretical psychology,its object and method as well as the role of theoretical psychologists.Theoretical psychology as a whole is reviewed.It points out that theoretical psychology is a metadiscipline,and it is an indispensable part of the science enterprise.This article also concerns the flaws of theoretical psychology.
