Abstract: The construction of the discourse system for ecological civilization in the Chinese context is a creative transformation and reconstruction of ecological discourse based on a critical reference to Western ecological discourse paradigms. This discourse practice is rooted in the historical context of China’s indigenous ecological practices， while maintaining a global perspective that responds to the common ecological concerns of humanity. In the context of the Chinese path to modernization， the discourse of ecological civilization transcends the singular narrative of environmental protection， evolving into a comprehensive and systematic development ethics narrative that encompasses the coordination of ecological， economic and social benefits， as well as the harmonization of intergenerational and intragenerational justice. The sinicized and modernized discourse expression system of ecological civilization promotes rational cognition and equal dialogue of the international community on China’s ecological civilization construction through more subjective and explanatory discourse practices， contributing Chinese wisdom to global ecological governance.
