Abstract: As a public platform for publishing achievements and disseminating knowledge, academic journals play an irreplaceable role in the construction of the independent knowledge system. Setting up the independent knowledge system requires integration and communication of different disciplines, theoretical presentation of academic knowledge, as well as steady improvement of academic discourse power. During this process, academic journals can function as the booster and strong support. As an important component of academic publishing, journals can focus on building knowledge service platforms, transforming academic achievements, and upgrading technology in the digital environment, therefore exploring feasible strategies to assist in the construction of knowledge systems. Journal publishers should build an active academic community, create a flexible knowledge management system, and accelerate the process of digital publishing and internationalization so as to enhance academic leadership in emerging disciplines and interdisciplinary fields, and make contributions to the construction of China's independent knowledge system.
