Abstract:
Industrial integration, by breaking down the boundaries of traditional industries and optimizing the allocation of resource elements, serves as a fundamental approach to enhancing efficiency. Advancing the integration of the cultural and tourism industries is a pivotal strategy for resource-depleted cities transitioning towards high-quality economic development, fostering social and cultural prosperity, and aligning with national strategic initiatives. Nonetheless, there remains a need for further exploration into the driving mechanisms that facilitate the integration of these industries, tailored to the specific needs of county-level development. Taking Jiaozuo city as an example, the author first conducts a comprehensive assessment of the integrated development of cultural and tourism industries. Upon this foundation, the Tobit regression model is employedto examine the principal factors that influence the convergence of cultural and tourism sectors. The research indicates that the overall level of coordination in the integration of cultural and tourism industry in Jiaozuo city has shown a fluctuating upward trend from 0.408 in 2010 to 0.673 in 2022. The integration coordination level has progressed from the brink of imbalance to the initial stage of coordination. Government support, investment in technological innovation, the creation of a cultural atmosphere, brand-building capability, and promotional efforts are identified as crucial factors influencing the integration of cultural and tourism industries.
