Cultivating students' critical thinking quality is the goal requirement for developing students' core literacy, which is the value guarantee for cultivating students' rational cognition and innovative thinking ability, which is helpful to solve difficult problems in English learning and promote the transformation and advancement of knowledge and ability. When cultivating students' critical thinking qualities, we can design the overall teaching objectives of the unit, and focus on the core problems of the unit and form a problem chain; Relying on "critical reading", students can cultivate critical thinking habits; Carrying out creative activities of "Promoting Thinking through Writing", students can enhance the level of critical thinking; Implementing "three rates, two degrees" multiple evaluations, students can promote their critical thinking quality.
