全球价值链嵌入对中国制造业碳排放的影响研究

Study on the Impact of Global Value Chain Embedment on Carbon Emissions of Chinese Manufacturing Industry

  • 摘要: 采用标准煤法和热值法对中国制造业细分行业的碳排放水平进行测算,利用UIBE全球价值链指标数据库中的制造业全球价值链嵌入度指数,结合2007—2020年细分制造业部门的面板数据考察了全球价值链嵌入对中国制造业碳排放的影响。研究发现,全球价值链嵌入显著降低了制造业部门的碳排放水平,简单全球价值链嵌入比复杂全球价值链嵌入更能降低制造业的碳排放水平。简单全球价值链嵌入和复杂全球价值链嵌入对制造业碳排放的影响存在明显的部门异质性,中低技术水平制造业部门参与简单全球价值链分工能显著降低碳排放,而高技术水平制造业部门参与复杂全球价值链分工能显著降低碳排放。文章的研究结论为全球价值链分工背景下中国制造业的低碳转型政策制定提供了一定依据。

     

    Abstract: Standard coal method and calorific value method are used to measure the carbon emission level of China's manufacturing subsectors. The impact of global value chain embedment on carbon emission of China's manufacturing industry is investigated by using the global value chain embedment index of manufacturing industry in UIBE global value chain Index database and the panel data of sub-manufacturing sector from 2007 to 2020. It is found that global value chain embedding significantly reduces the carbon emission level of manufacturing sector, and simple global value chain embedding can reduce the carbon emission level of manufacturing sector more than complex global value chain embedding. The effects of simple global value chain and complex global value chain embedment on carbon emissions of manufacturing industry show obvious sectoral heterogeneity. Participation in simple global value chain division can significantly reduce carbon emissions in low and medium technology manufacturing sector, while participation in complex global value chain division in high technology manufacturing sector can significantly reduce carbon emissions. The conclusions of this paper provide policy implications for the low-carbon transformation of China's manufacturing industry under the background of global value chain division.
