Abstract: “Persisting in combining the basic tenets of Marxism with China’s reality and fine traditional Chinese culture”is an important summary of the experience of the Communist Party of China in adapting Marxism to Chinese conditions For more than a hundred years. An examination of the “Resolution on Certain Questions in the History of Our Party”shows that the“two combinations”was formed in the course of the Communist Party of China leading the people to adhere to the spirit of struggle, to insist on seeking truth from facts, to follow the mass line, and to uphold independence. On the new journey, to continue to promote the localization of Marxism in China needs to take history as a mirror, seek the power source, explore the focus point, optimize the path of emergence, and provide practical support for the “two combinations”, so as to realize the self-assertion of theoretical innovation.
