Abstract:
In the early Qing Dynasty, some Gaoshan people from Taiwan followed Huang Ting and settled in Dengzhou, Henan Province. During more than 300 years, the Gaoshan people in the “Taiwan village”of Dengzhou has had long-term contact communication and integration with the local Han people, and they also have many ties with the Gaoshan people in Taiwan. Generally speaking, the ethnic contact communication and integration in “Taiwan village”of Dengzhou have gone through three important periods: the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China and after the founding of new China. In different periods, the contents of ethnic interaction in the “Taiwan village”were different, but the general trend was to strengthen the mutual connection, which reflected the characteristics of the development of ethnic relations in a unified multi-ethnic country. The kinship between Gaoshan people and Han people in Henan Province, as well as with Gaoshan people in Taiwan, has become an important example of a family relationship across the Taiwan Straits.
