Thoughts on Modern Writers' Lack of Biography of “History of Mmentality”——Taking Two Biography of YAO Xueyin as Examples

摘要: 姚雪垠是抗战时期的重要作家,也是中国当代长篇历史小说的开山人。他生平“可传性”史料相当多,但囿于20世纪80年代新启蒙语境至文学消费时代对传主倾向性的选择等因素,当前关于“姚雪垠传”的版本相对较少,且所传内容差异较大,以杨建业和许建辉两位作者的《姚雪垠传》(以下简称“杨传”与“许传”)尤其典型。“杨传”与“许传”都以纪念性的创作动机为主,注重对传主人生经历写实的线性书写与完整记录,对其重要的人生节点及有关争议的事件有所回应。相比“杨传”报告文学式的对传主的宣传刻画与文学研究摘录式的作品分析,“许传”对传主的文学创作与思想理路的把握更加细密,部分填补了“杨传”无开掘传主精神心理内容的空缺。作为现当代文学史上“奇怪的个案”,“许传”对姚雪垠“心态史”的传记与对其“单纯”而“复杂”的精神世界的发掘引人深思,对于现代作家学术型传记的书写具有一定的启发意义。Abstract: YAO Xueyin is an important writer during the anti-Japanese War and the founder of contemporary Chinese historical novels. Although there are so many historical materials of "transmissibility" in his life, the biographies of YAO Xueyin are relatively few and the contents are quite different, because it is not only limited to the "new context of enlightenment" in the 20th century, but also to the current transmission of literature in the 1980s. The biographies of YAO Xueyin (hereinafter referred to as YANG Zhuan and XU Zhuan) by YANG Jianye and XU Jianhui are two particularly typical examples. Both YANG Zhuan and XU Zhuan are based on the motive of commemoration, focusing on the realistic linear writing and complete recording of the narrator's life experience, and responding to his important life nodes and related controversial events. Compared with YANG Zhuan's reportage style of propagandization and description of the author and literary research excerpt style of work analysis, XU Zhuan has a more detailed grasp of the author's literary creation and ideological path, which fills the gap of YANG Zhuan's exploration of the author's spiritual and psychological content. As a "strange case" in the history of modern and contemporary literature, XU Zhuan's biography of YAO Xueyin's "history of mentality" and the exploration of her "simple" and "complex" psychological world are thought-provoking, which have specific enlightening significance for the writing of modern writers' academic biography.
