Abstract: The original book of Xinlun has been lost for a long time, and all that left is compiled by later generations. The chapter of "Shuce" in Volume 14 of Xinlun records the event of "Baideng Encirclement". Zhu (Qianzhi) believes that the character "剚" in Sun (Feng Yi)'s edition:"Yanzhi is envious and so she hates her and wants to stab her" is an error, quoting Hanshu Biography of Kuai Tong as an example. "事及"cited by Zhu's edition from Hanshu Biography of Kuai Tong should be "事刃", and "事刃"is the same as "剚刃" and "倳刃". Therefore, "事" is the same as "倳"and "剚", which is not a wrong character in Sun's edition.
