Abstract: Life education is a process of life education and guidance to individual life state, so as to promote the individual to perceive the existence of life, understand the meaning of life, develop the potential of life, explore the vitality of life and enhance the value of life. Under the background of the new era, college students are faced with huge competition pressure, life troubles, various psychological problems emerge in an endless series, and disregard for life phenomenon occurs from time to time, therefore it is very necessary to carry out life education for college students. As a front-line student education administrator, counselors have potential advantages in carrying out life education for college students. College students' life education should expand their thinking, innovate ways and methods, deepen the concept of life education, pay attention to the interaction of life experience, dig the elements of life education, build a multi-dimensional cooperative education mode, build a network platform for life education, and strengthen the prevention mechanism of life crisis.
