Abstract: In the fighting against novel coronavirus pneumonia, a large number of touching and inspiring anti-epidemic heroes emerged. The emerging of anti-epidemic heroes has specific background of the times, which cannot be separated from the promotion of social politics, culture and other factors, nor can it be separated from the influence of subjective and objective factors from individual. Its emerging logic is as following:the times and people needing me to be a hero-the system and role demanding me to be a hero-tradition and culture inspiring me to be a hero-individual choice and action ultimately making me a hero. Currently, we should not only advocate and learn from anti-epidemic heroes, but also study and publicize the motivation and support mechanism behind them, so as to further enhance the cohesion, pride and self-confidence of the whole nation.
