Abstract:
Yan Emperor and Huang Emperor and Chi You were contemporaneous heroes. Chi You (originally called the Jiu Li tribe) was an indigenous tribe in the Neolithic era in the area of Central Plain in ancient times. When Huang Emperor's army entered Central Plain, Chi You who led his clan formed an alliance with Yan Emperor against the Huang Emperor. Finally Chi You was defeated and was killed by Huang Emperor. A branch of the Chi You tribe migrated to the south of the Yangtze River, finally merged with the indigenous people of the San Miao tribe and formed the Miao tribe of Hu Lan and Hu Bai, and Chi You became the ancestor of the later Miao tribe. As an ancient tribal hero and God of war, Chi You eventually evolved into the image of a rebel who did not obey the law of nature, violated humanity and was cruel and merciless in the process of establishing Huang Emperor's authority as the common ancestor of the Chinese culture from the Spring and Autumn Period to the Qin and Han dynasties.
