Research Comment on CAO Jin, Da-Yu of Taiwan

CAO Jin is one of the historical figures who has had a significant influence in Taiwan's history. Up to now, the academic circles have made great academic progress in the research of CAO Jin, such as his life story, governance measures, construction of Cao Gong Zhen (an acequia built in 1837 and now preserved in Kaohsiung, Taiwan), people-oriented thinking, resisting Britain to defend Taiwan, and cultural resources development. However, generally speaking, the academic circles still have deep space to do further research on CAO Jin. And they also need to further strengthen exchanges and communication with Taiwan and overseas in order to excavate and organize materials, broaden perspective, explore new fields and attempt new research methods.
